Here at DMC we take data protection and privacy seriously.  Where data is collected, we make sure that we stay in line with the relevant regulations and legal practices.

By ‘we’, we mean DMC Distribution Limited.

 

What Personal Data do we collect?

We process data in a few areas of our business.

As part of our Order Fulfilment service it is necessary for us to store and process certain personal data such as Individual’s Names, Shipping Address, Phone number, and Email address.

We also collect personal data from our website via web forms where individuals wish to contact us.

 

What do we do with this Data?

Order Fulfilment is the keystone of our business operation, and as such this data is required to deliver goods on behalf of our customers.  We also use this data to respond to customer queries where necessary.  We deem these uses to be of Legitimate Interest to both us and our customers.

Data collected from our website forms is used to contact people who wish to get in touch with us.

 

Who do we share this Data with?

Order Fulfilment data, by necessity, will need to be passed on to our carriers.  We also use third-party IT support services who may have access to our fulfilment system.  In these cases, we always ensure the integrity and GDPR compliance of these companies. More information regarding these service providers are available upon request.

We do not under any circumstances share personal data which is collected from our Contact web forms with any third parties.

 

How do we store this Data?

Order Fulfilment data is stored on our secure on-site servers.  This is also replicated to our Customer and Distribution portals which are maintained by our IT services.  Order Data is kept for 12 months, unless it is related to medical stock where we are obliged to keep it for 7 years as part of MHRA regulations.

Contact data sent via our web forms is also stored on our secure on-site servers, and is retained for up to 7 years.

 

Transferring your data outside of the EU

For deliveries which are not in the EU, your data may be transferred and stored in countries outside the European Economic Area, where laws and regulations on data protection such as GDPR may not be upheld.

 

Your rights

You have the right to access a copy of your personal data, the right to withdraw consent (where given), the right to rectification of inaccurate data, the right of erasure of your personal data, and the right to object to our processing of your personal data.
